Final Work Day #24 and the Home Dedication

Well, the finishing touches were put into place on July 19th. The house looked perfect in every way for the dedication the next day. Great job guys!

The dedication happened yesterday, July 20th at 5:00pm. The Ksor / Rcom Family had kind words of gratitude to all of the friends and volunteers that helped make this dream possible. The family was presented with several gifts: a Tool Kit, a Prayer Shawl, a Picture Album, and a Bible. See pictures below.

It was a fitting end to a great project. HUGE THANKS go to all of the vounteers that worked tireless hours to make this happen. We are thankful for how God has blessed individually through the project, and blessed this project itself. It was rewarding for us all to be able to show Christ’s love to others.

There was a good sized crowd there.

A tool kit was presented to the family to
help them take care of their new home.

We presented the homeowners with a chronological
picture album of the top 100 pictures from the
project.

The homeowners were also given a Bible.

This is Mr. Ksor - a big day for him and his family!

This is the whole Ksor / Rcom Family.

Mark was one of the family liasons, and helped
get things started.

A "Prayer Shawl" was knitted by praying people
with caring hands, and presented to the family.

The young children's chior from West Market
put on a great performance.

The finished product.

Another shot of the dedication ceremony.

It was hot, and some took refuge in the shade
before things got started.

Work Day #23: “Clean Up and Touch Up”

What a great group of folks we had out today. There was a lot of touching up of paint, and cleaning and scraping of windows being done. The house looks absolutely fantastic! Thanks to everyone who came out to help. Check out some pictures from today below.

This has become Fred's second address. THANKS
for all the help!

Smiling faces - happy to be helping out the Ksor family.

It's just about done. Yes, that is grass coming in.

A few more touch ups on the front door jamb.

The kitchen looks great, and the floor made a
great place to take a break!

One of the upstairs bathrooms - very nice indeed.

More of our happy volunteers!

Work Day #22: “Landscaping”

There was another great turnout of volunteers today, and there was an awesome time of fellowship during the devotional to get things started. They made quick work of the fine grading and mulch - a huge thanks to Ronnie Chambers for coming out earlier this week to do the prep work (rough grading, bed edging and mulch deliveries). It's simply amazing to see how nicely and quickly this project has come together. See pictures from today below.

A great time of fellowship at the devotion time.

The bag says it all! THANKS so much for the great lunch!

Work Day #20: “Flooring and Odds and Ends”

Another set of smiling faces showed up today in the June heat. They did a great job working on flooring, painting, installing baseboard, staining shoe molding, and various other odds and ends. Thanks to everyone who came out to help! Check out the pictures from today below.

Yes, we are happy to be here!

Okay, just tell me when you're going to take it...

It does not cut very fast this way.

I was just wondering who's going to hold up this pole when I leave?

Cleaning up.

You're doing a fine job there Margaret.
