Work Day #1: “Rain, rain, go away!”

Well, the foundation and materials were ready. Volunteers showed up eager to work, then it rained (cats and dogs). After a short devotion in the POD, it was evident that we could not work in this kind of rain. We will have a make up work day on Wednesday, April 2nd (weather permitting).

A few workers waited out most of the rain, and met back at the site at 11am. They managed to get about half of the floor joists in, and a lot of the window and door framing components cut and ready for wall framing. It was muddy and wet, but thankfully the whole day wasn't lost. See pictures below of the foundation, and all the folks who came out to work! Also see the Doug Whitefield delivering his devotion at the “Habitat Satellite POD Church”. Great job to all!
